Writing Prompt #8: The Internet Includes Many Websites With Images and Content That Is Inappropriate. Should Websites Like These Be Censored by Parent? Why or Why Not? State Your Position and Support It With Specific Reasons and Examples.

The internet today is outrageous with all the images and content that is exploited all over the web. There are pictures of people nude, cyber bullying, and a whole lot of negative blogs and other things. Of course this is just an everyday thing that most people see but enough is enough! Parents should censor what their children see online on a daily basis. It’s just a big distraction to most teens all over the world and something needs to be done about it.
Parents should censor what their children access on the internet because most of that stuff children don’t need to see at all. Children get on the computer everyday for numerous numbers of hours and their parents hardly even check to see what their children are looking at. Their children could be doing anything and they would hardly ever know about it. Parents should censor what their children access on the internet because the internet can influence people to do bad things and to do things that wouldn’t normally be in their nature. Children get negative influence from things on the internet that really shouldn’t even be shown.
It’s not the parent’s fault why their children are being introduced to all of these negative things on the internet. It’s the internet’s fault for letting all of those negative things be on the internet for everyone to see. All of that inappropriate stuff is so negative, and so unnecessary. No one wants their children to see that or run into that when they access a website. Cyber bullying being exploited on the internet is a high rate now, and for children to see that, they think it’s fine and they start to follow the leader and do the same thing that the first idiot did. Honestly a parent should put up a block on the computer so their children won’t ever run into or access those types of websites.
The internet should be censored by parents every time their children access the computer. From nudity to cyber bullying every child should be censored from ever seeing something like that. A parent won’t even know what their children are doing, and they won’t have to know if the internet-access their using is censored from all of that type of stuff. The internet should be the one to blame for letting all of that be on there. It’s a big distraction and something needs to be done about it.

If I Were a Doctor....

If I were a doctor I would be a pediatrician. I would be a pediatrician because I love kids, I love everything about babies. My job would be hectic because of all the crying, but it would be amazing because it's dealing with something that I love. My job would be something amazing to wake up to every morning and go to sleep with at night because of how much I would be in love with my job. I would keep pictures of all the babies all over my office just to remember all the beautiful babies that I've dealt with.

If I Were Twenty Feet Tall...

If I were twenty feet tall, life would be a lot harder. I wouldn't be able to fit in my house, my bed, in the car, in my classroom, and in the shower/tub. I would be the laugh of everything probably, and I would be afraid that I would step on something while walking. The sun would be even more in my face and when I would walk outside the eletrical wires would probably hit me on the head numerous number of times. I would always have a hard time trying to find clothes that fit me and shoes that'll fit my feet. I would be the giant of the world and I'd never want to go out to dinner, the movies, or anywhere because of my size.

One Thing I'm Really Good At..

One thing that I'm really good at is giving advice. I think I'm really good at giving advice because I'm very mature and the way I look at things it's different than what most teens my age would ever think. I always try to step in the person's shoes and see how it would feel to be them in that situation and give them the best advice or thoughts that come to my mind. Majority of the time I use some of my experiences and compare the two to make a new point. I think that's one of the reasons why I want to become a psychologist because I'm good at helping people with just a little bit of my advice. And at the end of the day I'm satisfied that I can help people with my advice.

The First Time I Won Something...

I remember one of the first time's I've won something, I was in the third grade and I won an award for being on the Honor Roll. That was one of the best day's of my life. I never thought that I would ever be on Honor Roll, but I was. I was so excited! I was happy that my hard work paid off, even though I was only in the third grade, it was still a big deal to me.  It was my first real award that I got, and I got a medal and a certificate as well. I think I was proud of myself more than anyone. I knew that if I could get myself on honor roll and stay on it that I would make myself smile in the light of success. And I did just that and stayed on Honor Roll.

My Superpower

If I could have any superpower it would be invisibility. I would have that power because I've always wondered how it would feel to be invisible. I would use this superpower when I don't want to be seen or heard. Even when I don't want to be bothered or when I don't want to be acknowledged.  Invisibilty seems like a cool power to have because you can do any and everything without anyone knowing or seeing you. That's pretty cool! Even though some people say being invisible or feeling invisible isn't a good thing to feel, I would want to see how it feels. Just to be an outcast, an insider made scapegoat of a situation, not being able to be seen or heard. I'm just in my own little world, not even being noticed or payed attention to. To feel like no one is ever going to bother me because they can't see me. Sounds like a good day to me.
